The project
A pressure vessel is judged by one test. Every seam has to hold water under pressure, so rolling, fit-up and welding have to be right long before the test day.
What we made
- Shell rolling and fit-up
- Seam welding
- Stage inspection with the client’s engineers
- Hydrostatic test
How we built it
- Three-roll pinch cum pyramid plate rollsShell courses rolled from plate.
- Submerged-arc (SAW) welding lineLong seams welded by submerged arc.
The vessel was manufactured, inspected and hydrotested successfully. It is the first of its kind from our works.
